Characteristic
  • (1) Select the location of the manhole considering the piping and wiring relationship.
  • (2) Design the dimensions from the piping side wall of the pit to the end of the manhole after considering the dimensions of the automatic release device.
  • (3) Determine the size of the manhole that fits the size of the pump.
  • (4) First, determine the location where the guide pipe will be installed at the end of the manhole as shown in Figure 1.
  • (5) Install as shown in Figure 2, then tighten the foundation bolts and completely pipe the discharge pipe.
  • (6) Install the snap float and set the low water level to about 1 m from the bottom of the pit, and install the high water level float switch at an appropriate location considering the height of the pit.
  • (7) Check the verticality of the guide pipe and the vertical and horizontality of the discharge pipe, then check the packing of the anchor bolt and the pipe, and if everything is perfectly confirmed, slowly lower it using the lifter on the ground as guided by the guide pipe.
  • (8) When the lifting device is completely fixed by the pump ground, hang the lifting chain mounted on the pump on a hook at the top of the manhole as shown in Figure 5 to prevent it from falling, and use it when lifting it for future repairs and inspections.
  • (9) Connect the snap float line to the automatic control panel and also connect the power cable. At this time, be careful not to submerge the connecting part of the line in water, as this may result in a current leak or motor damage
